Job Description:
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing and controlling hazardous and unsafe situations.
- Participates in the development of Health and Safety policies, procedures and working practices within the site.
- Provides safety orientations, oversee and coordinate the performance of all contractors in order to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Monitor & Maintains all safety records and produces statistics for management as required.
- Investigates and reports on all near miss, personal injury accidents and damage to property occurring on campus and document in an incident report
- To conduct regular HSE audits and inspections and report findings to management.
- To investigate accident, incidents for root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
- Practice & follow the work permit system and audit the same. Develop checklist, awareness, training program to foster the safety culture.
- Ensure conducting TBT, HIRA Fire drill, emergency and evacuation drills and trainings regularly.
- Compliances to statutory safety requirements as per acts and norms.
- Preparing Off site Emergency Plan to Prepare to combat any kind of untoward eventuality beyond the organization Premises.
- Liaise with the Government agencies like local district office, GIDC, PESO, BWC, DISH, Fire Department, GPCB, Labor office, ECB etc. on safety related matters. Exposure to OSHA std., (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001) & Occupational Health and safety (OHSAS 18001)
Personal Traits:
- Should be a Local person & close to site location.
- Good in Gujarati Language communication.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics. Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
- Good general IT skills (MS- Office etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and good in Ethic.
